Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information KW Electrical Services Pty Ltd (ABN 78 669 317 793) collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can get it back or have it removed. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

If anything here is unclear, ring us on 0415 503 796 or email admin@kwelec.com.au and we will explain it properly.

What we collect

Information you give us

Our contact form asks for your name, phone number, email address, suburb and a description of the job. Every one of those is needed to work out whether we can help you, how far we are travelling and what to quote. If you would rather not fill in a form, call or email us instead and give us only what you are comfortable giving.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, ours records some technical information when you visit: your approximate location (usually your town or region, worked out from your IP address), the type of device and browser you are using, which pages you looked at, how long you stayed and which website or ad sent you here. This is used to understand how the site is performing. It is not used to identify you personally.

How your enquiry reaches us

When you submit the contact form, your details are sent over an encrypted connection to a small program we run on Cloudflare, which immediately emails them to KW Electrical Services and to our marketing consultant. We do not use a third-party form service that keeps a database of our customers, and your enquiry is not stored on this website.

Your enquiry then sits in our email and job management system, which is where it stays for as long as we need it. We keep enquiry records so we can service warranty claims, answer questions about past work, and meet our record-keeping obligations as a licensed electrical contractor.

Cookies and website analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies from four services. They tell us how many people visited, which pages they read and whether an ad we paid for actually led to an enquiry. Without them we would be guessing.

  • Google Analytics, to measure visits, pages viewed and general website performance.
  • Google Ads, to measure whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to call us or send an enquiry.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), for the same purpose on those platforms.
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records an anonymous replay of how pages are used, such as where people scroll and what they tap, and turns that into heat maps. It is how we find the parts of a page that are not working. Clarity hides the contents of form fields, so anything you type into the enquiry form is not captured, and the replays are not linked to your name.

These services may set cookies on your device and may combine what they see here with information they already hold about you from other websites. That is how advertising on those platforms works, and it is worth knowing.

When you send an enquiry through our contact form and you arrived from one of our ads, your email address and phone number are also sent to Google Ads so it can tell which ad led to your enquiry. They are converted into a scrambled code by your own browser before they are sent, using a one-way process called hashing, and Google can only use that code to look for a match against an account it already holds. We do not send anything else from the form to Google, and this does not change how we handle your enquiry itself, which is covered above.

How to opt out

  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this site or contacting us.
  • Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics entirely.
  • Microsoft Clarity honours your browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings, and its own terms and privacy information explain what it collects.
  • Google ad personalisation can be turned off in your Google account settings.
  • Meta ad settings can be changed in your Facebook or Instagram account preferences.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we never will. We do not give your details to other tradespeople, lead-generation companies or marketing lists.

We do rely on a small number of service providers to run the business, and your information passes through them:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes the contact form.
  • Resend, which delivers the contact form email to us.
  • Google, Meta and Microsoft, for the analytics and advertising described above.
  • Love Your Work Co., our marketing consultant, who receives a copy of website enquiries so nothing is missed.
  • Our email and job management providers, and our accountant, in the ordinary course of running the business.

We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim.

Information sent overseas

Some of the providers above store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. By using this website or sending us an enquiry, you consent to your information being handled overseas by those providers. We choose established providers with published privacy and security practices, but we cannot control their operations.

Keeping it secure

This website is served over HTTPS, so anything you type into the contact form is encrypted in transit. The contact form only accepts submissions from our own website, which stops it being used to send spam in our name. Access to our email and job management system is limited to people who need it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a data breach ever occurred that was likely to cause you serious harm, we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required.

Getting your information, or having it deleted

You can ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date
  • delete your information, where we are not required to keep it

Email admin@kwelec.com.au or ring 0415 503 796. There is no charge, and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we are not handing your details to someone else.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and give us the chance to fix it. If you are still not satisfied, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Children

This website is aimed at people arranging electrical work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will remove them.

Links to other websites

Our site links out to places like our Facebook page and our Google listing. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else's website and their privacy policy applies, not ours.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when what we collect or how we use it changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here rather than notified individually.
